Your Qualifications
To be a strong fit for the role of CDL Driver, you must be 21 years of age and have:

- Ability to pass a drug screen and DOT physical
- Strong mathematical skills including the ability to:
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Perform operations using units of American money
- Calculate weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Solid verbal and written communication skills including the ability to:
- Effectively communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, customers, warehouse personnel and others
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to use a computer, hand-held tablet and GPS
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Dependability and a team-player attitude
Preferred but not required:
- Warehouse experience

We'll look to you to be flexible in your schedule availability to meet demands. For example, depending on your route, you could leave on Sunday or Monday.
Your Role
As CDL Driver, you will be based in our Springfield terminal, where your truck will stay when you are not on the road. You will be responsible for making warehouse deliveries from Springfield to Midwest and/or East Coast locations, depending on your assigned route. Your longest leg will be at the beginning of the week, with shorter legs following. Typically, you'll be gone for two to four days at a time, with approximately three warehouse deliveries per load. You will get stop fee when you dock, and at many docks, you can choose to unload and receive additional pay.
Specifically, you will:
- Drive a specified route.
- Deliver and unload products via customer requirements at each location.
- Maintain daily and weekly logs and reports as required by State, Federal Agencies, and Company.
- Follow all safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Load and unload trucks via pallet jacks and/or fork trucks.
- Build strong partnerships with dispatchers who will provide 24/7 support.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Our trucks are Freightliner, Kenworth and International. Most are double bunk Freightliners.
