More Good Reasons
Impact and professional satisfactionThis is not a case of fixing something that's broken, but of taking advantage of new resources to build on solid operations. You'll be able to score some early victories with low-hanging fruit and then build on the momentum. The first few months will be challenging, but you'll enjoy a sense of accomplishment in setting us up for strong, smooth performance moving forward.
High visibility
The Lima plant is the largest in the company, in terms of employees, with over 300 team members today and more being added. If you are successful here, you will be seen as someone who can make an impact in any of our plants, opening up multiple career paths for you.
Growing plant, growing company
For over 65 years, we have grown steadily, establishing ourselves as leaders in several product categories. The Lima plant, for example, doubled in size over the past 8 years to be 200,000 ft2 -- and there are more renovations under way. Today, as part of Post Holdings, we are taking that growth to a new level, and that will create opportunities for strong performers.
Great environment
We work hard to create a family-like environment, and you will help promote a positive, upbeat culture across operations. We offer employees plenty of amenities, such as a cafeteria with freshly prepared food and a great break room with TV and WiFi. We also understand your need to balance work with other aspects of your life; for example, if you have a doctor's appointment, we won't dock your paid time off (PTO) allowance.
Corporate responsibility
Company Founder Bob Evans' generosity and passion for helping others set the foundation for the work we do today. As a community and family focused company, we give to many causes that impact families with children and the communities where they live. We're also constantly improving sustainability and reducing environmental impact at our manufacturing facilities, transportation center, and corporate campus.
Excellent compensation
In addition to a competitive salary and bonus incentive program, we offer comprehensive benefits, including 18 days of PTO right off the bat, a monthly profit-sharing program, a 401(k) plan with a dollar-for-dollar company match and more.

Now on the National Register of Historic Places, the farm was where the Evans family opened The Sausage Shop in their front yard, which later became the first Bob Evans restaurant. The spirit of hospitality is deeply embedded in our company's history.
Keys to Success
Your knowledge of manufacturing operations will be essential, but just as important will be the leadership skills to coach your team and keep them motivated. Another important part of your role will be continuous improvement. To succeed in that, you need to be able to shift your focus from the details (which are important) to the bigger picture. That way you can identify trends, conduct root cause analysis, and make a lasting positive change. In fact, there will be a lot of change under way and you'll need to be rock steady throughout. You'll provide the steady hand your team needs, including clarifying expectations, holding people accountable, and dealing with each person in a fair and consistent manner. You also should model the ability to keep a cool head when the pressure is on.
Plant management has high expectations, but they are down-to-earth and don't take themselves too seriously. We'll look to you to do the same. As long as you keep the Plant Operations Manager in the loop regarding what you're doing and why, you'll have latitude in achieving goals. At the same time, the Ops Manager will be a resource for you.
